We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned and ad‑hoc site patrols together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency, follow prescribed escalation and communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services. You will be working an average of 42 hours per week on a 4‑day/4‑off cycle and a 4‑night/4‑off rotation. Shifts will be 07:00–19:00 for days and 19:00–07:00 for nights.

What You Will Need
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
- Able to pass SC and Bank of England Vetting Standards/UK residence requirement – 5 years before the date of employment.
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft software packages (e.g. Excel).
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
What Are You Going To Do
- Conduct body searches on female attendees of the building.
- Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors to the site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
- Record the entry and exit of delivery while on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
- Ensure that patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours security provision if applicable.
- Comply with site waste management procedures.
- Complete documents as required, including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site‑specific reports.
- Ensure familiarity with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and other quality advise the Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
- Maintain your own training records via the Corps Colleague Portal so that your skills remain up to date, especially first aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
- Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must always be displayed.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
