Security Officer – Derbyshire
We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer in the Derbyshire area to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities include access control, site patrols, site inductions, and emergency procedures in coordination with Site Management and emergency services. The role involves working 42 hours per week on a 4on, 4off night shift schedule.
- Maintain surveillance through regular site patrols and record-keeping.
- Brief visitors and contractors, manage sign-in/out procedures.
- Record deliveries and process related paperwork.
- Carry out patrols to the required standards.
- Manage alarm systems for out-of-hours security if applicable.
- Follow waste management procedures.
- Complete logs, incident reports, and site-specific documentation.
- Familiarize with and adhere to Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and safety documents; communicate improvements to management.
- Maintain training records, especially for first aid and fire marshal training, via the Corps Colleague Portal.
- Display your SIA license at all times and uphold professionalism.
- Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid SIA Front-Line License – essential
- Valid SIA CCTV License – desirable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
