Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Supervisor in Corby to oversee the performance and upkeep of the security function on one of our esteemed clients' premises.

Your role includes supervising day‑to‑day security team activities and ensuring adherence to assignment instructions and Corps security policies.

You will work 42 hours per week on a 4 on/4 off night shift (1800–0600).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring all daily tasks are fulfilled and policies are adhered to.
  • Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, and respond to security breaches/incidents efficiently, following escalation processes.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate direct reports with goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching, development training, and attendance/timekeeping monitoring.
  • Submit all necessary reports and performance documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Oversee staff and contractor activities on site, controlling contractors, recording method statements and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and stakeholders during emergencies.
  • Inspect security equipment (CCTV, access control, alarms) regularly to ensure proper functionality.
  • Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively across departments, integrating security measures into operational factors such as events, facility management, and safety.
  • Achieve Corps Security KPI’s and assist with investigations of non‑conformance.
  • Stay current with security trends, technologies, and regulations to recommend improvements.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence – essential.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Capability to meet deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus.
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
