Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled

SIA Licensed Security Supervisor to oversee the performance and daily operation of the security function at one of our flagship retail clients - the new Harry Potter Store on Oxford Street.

You will supervise a team of five Security Officers per shift, ensuring all colleagues maintain a high level of professionalism, guest focus, and security presence.

This role supports the Duty Security Manager (DSM) and plays a key part in delivering a safe, secure, and magical guest experience within a high-footfall retail environment.

You will be working an average of 42 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off rotation. Shifts will be 12-hours with varied timings.

What you will need

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
  • Experience supervising small teams in retail, hospitality, or high-footfall environments
  • Experience with incident response and professional security conduct
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (e. g., Excel).
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What are you going to do

  • Ensure the security team fulfils all daily tasks and adheres to Assignment Instructions and Corps Security policies
  • Respond to security breaches, disorderly behaviour, accidents, and emergencies, ensuring escalation procedures are followed
  • Supervise secure movement of cash within the store, ensuring officers follow strict protocols and maintain situational awareness
  • Lead, manage, and motivate direct reports, including coaching, performance reviews, and attendance monitoring
  • Maintain a calm, welcoming presence and support the delivery of a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors
  • Oversee staff and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations
  • Ensure effective communication with retail management, operations, and external agencies.
  • Assist with evacuations, first aid response (if trained), and coordination during fire alarms or major disruptions
  • Perform additional tasks as required
  • Perform morning and evening tasks and checks that will increase when the store opens, e. g. unlock/lockup
