About the role: We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others and contributes positively to a team environment. This role suits someone collaborative, hands-on, and keen to learn. You’ll support the delivery of Depositary services across a varied client portfolio, ensuring strong oversight, accurate monitoring, and compliance with AIFMD requirements. It’s a role where you’ll be involved, active, and not shy about getting stuck in when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Portfolio Administration: Administer a diverse portfolio of Depositary clients in line with the firm’s Policies, Procedures and Controls Manual, ensuring all monitoring, oversight, and safekeeping duties meet UK AIFMD requirements.
- Board Pack Preparation: Prepare documentation and packs for quarterly fund board meetings.
- Audit Support: Assist the Head of Depositary Services UK with internal and external audits.
- 4-Eye Review: Review and approve colleagues’ work as part of the four-eye review process.
- Record Management: Ensure client files are accurately maintained and all correspondence and documentation are consistently filed.
- AML and KYC Awareness: Maintain awareness of Money Laundering and Know Your Client obligations, raising any concerns where appropriate.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor and interpret new or evolving regulatory developments affecting Depositary operations.
Your Profile:
- Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
- IT Proficiency: Confident using relevant IT systems and tools.
- Depositary or Regulatory Background: Experience in a Depositary or regulatory environment, ideally with exposure to Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Debt, or Venture Capital funds, is preferred but not required.
- AIFMD Knowledge: Strong understanding of AIFMD requirements for Depositaries is preferred but not required.
- Autonomous Working: Able to work independently with sound judgement.
