Senior Business Travel Consultant (Out of Hours)

This role reports to the Operations Team Manager and is fully remote, operating on a 4‑day on‑4‑day off pattern between 6 am and 6 pm or 8 am and 8 pm.
The position covers Christmas and bank holidays.
The role
Working in a team of 10 spanning the UK and France, you will deliver high‑quality travel support to corporate clients outside standard business hours. You will handle urgent travel requests, booking amendments, last‑minute itinerary changes and disruption management.
What you’ll have
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Travel Consultant covering all travel management areas
- Proven GDS experience – we will train you on Sabre
- Ability to turnaround fare recalculations and ticket reissues quickly
- International travel market experience
- Commitment to 3–4 weeks of initial on‑site training in London or Glasgow if required
- Resilience, teamwork and the ability to work well under pressure with stressed clients
What you’ll be doing
- Provide high‑level customer service by phone and email
- Assist with all reservations (air, hotel, rail, car) and other travel requests via any client or partner
- Support emergency actions and contingency plans
- Ensure client travel policies are adhered to correctly
- Consistently meet SLA’s and KPI’s
- Maintain effective relationships with colleagues across offices
- Administer internal and external tasks to the highest standard
- Accept additional duties as directed by your Manager
