About the Role
This is a totally unique role for a candidate with strong experience in air charter and with a passion for client services. The Senior Charter Manager will work closely with the General Manager and the wider CTM account management and operational teams to ensure the highest level of service and partnership for our key Government and corporate clients.
The main focus of the role will be the ownership and management of several key UK Government air charter contracts and to enhance the client and end user experience, both directly and indirectly, through building strong relationships, providing operational support and expertise, supplying insightful management information, coordinating with internal teams, and working with key client and supplier stakeholders to maximise value and ROI. The role will also involve providing air charter expertise and management to our specialist events and sports travel teams, and proactive growth of CTM’s air charter offering and client base.
Skills & Experience
- Experience and knowledge of air charter is essential, from an operational and/or commercial background.
- Experience in working with government clients, and an understanding of the specific requirements of VVIP travel would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- A creative, autonomous and entrepreneurial approach.
- Outgoing and engaging personality, with a passion for customer service.
- Ability to identify issues with, and possible improvements to, existing processes – not afraid to challenge current ways of working.
- A comprehensive existing network of client and operator relationships is strongly preferred.
- Very strong interpersonal skills, authoritative and able to build trust with our clients.
- Pragmatic, problem-solving mindset, and prepared to make decisions when necessary.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise deadlines.
- Willingness to occasionally travel, and work unusual or out of office hours as required by the nature of the role.
- Competency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.) and a general aptitude for technology.
- Experience with CRM systems (specifically Microsoft Dynamics) would be beneficial, as would any experience with event/delegate management software (EventsAir preferred).
This role requires a security clearance process (you must have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years to be eligible) and a DBS check. Do not apply if you are not willing to undergo these conditional background checks.
