About the role
The Group Accommodation Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for one of CTM Sport’s most high-profile sporting event series. This is a role with full accountability for delivery across multiple markets, including direct leadership in the UK but also wider coordination of the UK and the US teams. The Sport division is a key growth area for the organisation, supported by strong investment and collaboration across the wider business. The role will play a central part in shaping processes, driving efficiencies, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance service delivery for key sporting clients. Operating in a fast-paced and competitive environment, the Project Director must demonstrate resilience, commercial awareness, and a proactive leadership style. Skills and Experience Required
- 5-8 years experience in the event management industry; sport desired but not essential
- Strong organisation skills
- Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel / Smartsheet
- Strong SharePoint experience
- Events Air experience preferred
- Experience in managing high profile events, including managing several hotels during the same event

What you will be doing
This role will have overall responsibility for the delivery of a flagship sporting event series, with end-to-end oversight across all operational, financial, and stakeholder workstreams. The Project Director will lead under pressure, setting the standard for precision, accountability, and excellence across the project team. With a strong operational mindset, the role will oversee detailed planning and execution while maintaining a strategic view of priorities, risks, and outcomes. The Group Accommodation Manager will be accountable for the accommodation strategy, including complex rooming blocks and inventory management, alongside full ownership of financial performance. This includes budget development, cost control, reconciliation, and ensuring profitability is embedded in all decision-making. While no longer managing every spreadsheet personally, the role requires the ability to review, challenge, and guide detailed operational outputs, ensuring accuracy and alignment across teams in the UK and the US. The Project Director will be a confident and credible presence with clients, suppliers, and senior stakeholders, balancing commercial objectives with exceptional service delivery.
