THE ROLE
Our Venue Finder (Groups & Meetings Coordinators) team work closely with their Assistant Team Leader, Team Leader and the wider Meeting & Events team to ensure the highest level of service for our customers. The focus of the role is to provide efficient and professional venue sourcing and meeting coordination services, supported by our technology, creating proposals that maximise value and ROI for our customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone working in a similar role within an agency, or with experience in an operational or sales role in a hotel or events venue.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Experience in the planning of corporate meetings and events
- Excellent organisational skills
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Budget conscious, able to plan and keep costs within allocated budgets
- A good team player
- Ability to problem solve
- Adept at using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Good written / telephone skills
- Positive attitude, keen to work using own initiative
- Prepared to make decisions when necessary
- Ability to self‑manage and prioritise deadlines
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Responding to, and managing from end to end, meetings and events enquiries
- Venue sourcing, negotiation and liaison
- Key client stakeholder liaison and relationship management
- Sourcing and management of additional suppliers where necessary
- Preparation of proposals using creativity and ‘outside‑the‑box’ thinking
- Upselling of additional CTM Meeting & Events services
- Preparation and management of venue and client contracts and payments
- Adherence to CTM Meeting & Events processes and policies, as well as individual client processes and requirements
- Building strong personal relationships with clients
- Communication and close working relationship with the rest of the CTM Meeting & Events team
Please note that this role requires a security clearance process (you must have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years to be eligible) and a DBS check. Do not apply if you are not willing to undergo these conditional background checks.
