About the Role

The role of Assistant Accountant is to provide accurate and timely information to the Finance Reporting Manager. The Assistant Accountant will also be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports, variance analysis and ad hoc reporting. This role will also be liaising with the wider finance team to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

  • At least four years' experience within a finance team.
  • Experience within travel is a distinct advantage.

  • Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month end tasks (preparing journals with backups, supporting other team members).
  • Supporting the offshore team during month-end/ in any other BAU processes.
  • Preparation of management accounts including all associated balance sheet reconciliations and P&L/ Balance Sheet variance analysis.
  • Intercompany reconciliation between entities.
  • Month end checks around receivables/payables.
  • Provide support to the manager in preparing variance analysis on monthly results.
  • Support wider finance team with strict deadlines around month end.
  • Review and check accuracy of accounts receivable and payable.
  • Assisting interim and year end statutory audit.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
