About the Role

The role of

Financial Controller is to provide support and coaching to your team members, as well as assisting the Head of Accounting and Control in the control of the finance and accounting policies, practices and procedures of CTM Europe.

It will also include the compliance with statutory requirements, preparation of monthly financial reports, accounting records, variance analysis and ad hoc reporting, allowing senior management to make informed business decisions and thereby improve our profitability.

Regular visits to the Bradford office is an expectation of the role (must attend during month end).

Essential Requirements

  • Big 4 training, 3 years minimum
  • ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • industry experience, ideally travel
  • management experience, there is a small but ambitious team
  • experience navigating exceptional business circumstances, this is not a BAU role
  • delivered projects successfully
  • readiness to go through a Security Clearance process (read more here - National security vetting: clearance levels - GOV. UK)

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant ACA/ACCA or other recognised international qualification.
  • Ability to manage, coach and develop 5 team members.
  • 3 years + Big 4 experience is essential.
  • Experience leading audit, being the first point of contact for external auditors necessary.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • Focused on deliverables and deadlines.
  • Ability to provide clear and understandable analysis for the management/ stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage change in a positive manner.
  • Self‑motivated and well organised.
  • Thorough, accurate and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a high‑performing team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communicator with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement controls.
