Your role
Position Summary
The Enterprise Architect is a senior technical leader within Corpay’s International Vehicle Payments (IVP) division, which brings together multiple federated businesses delivering payment and mobility solutions across fuel, EV, parking and fleet services. Reporting to the VP of Architecture, this role translates divisional and enterprise technology strategy into actionable, scalable architecture solutions. The Enterprise Architect ensures alignment between business objectives and IT capabilities, promotes adoption of architecture standards and patterns, and supports secure, resilient, and cost-effective solutions across data centres and multiple cloud providers. The role operates across multiple federated businesses, balancing divisional consistency with the autonomy of individual business units. The Enterprise Architect collaborates closely with executives, product teams, and engineering teams to guide solution design, enforce governance, and reduce technical debt. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the technology landscape of a fast-moving, multi-business payments and mobility division, while directly architecting critical platforms for our EU based Fuels business.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate divisional and enterprise IT strategy into actionable architecture solutions.
- Develop and maintain divisional architecture roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Take a hands-on role in architecting solutions for the EU Fuels platforms, translating business requirements into technically sound architectures.
- Anticipate future demands and support scalable, resilient technology decisions.
- Lead and enforce architecture governance processes within the division.
- Develop, communicate, and drive adoption of architecture standards and patterns.
- Promote reuse of technology patterns and services to reduce duplication and technical debt.
- Ensure solutions comply with risk, privacy, cybersecurity, and legal requirements.
- Design secure, resilient, and scalable solutions across data centres and cloud environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for divisional applicability and make adoption recommendations.
- Mentor and support solution architects, technical leads, and engineering teams.
- Partner with business and technology teams to influence solution design and delivery.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Produce and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and models for various audiences.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including architecture roles in mid-sized or large enterprises.
- Demonstrable experience in hybrid IT environments (data centre + cloud).
- Strong grounding in networking, security, and resilience engineering.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

- Experience in federated or multi-division organisations.
- Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with payments, mobility, or transaction-based business models.
- Experience with regulated industries (e.g., PCI DSS, financial services).
