Responsible for defining and managing the Group\’s Residences and Exceptional Homes (MOXH) business strategy with full P&L accountability, providing functional expertise in design and operations, and overseeing the development and management of the Group Residences portfolio as well as providing senior mentorship and guidance to the leadership of The Residences organisation and MOXH business unit (direct reports).
Responsibilities:
- Directly accountable for all aspects of the Residences division including development, branding and marketing (in cooperation with the SVP Brand), pre-opening, and ongoing operations.
- Assists in the development of a sound business model as an important component of the Group\’s core competences.
- Provides oversight and guidance to MOXH business unit leader, sharing responsibility on growth plan and P&L delivery.
- Ensures alignment of Residences and MOXH strategies and development to the defined Group strategy.
- Represents MO Brand to the highest standard, ensuring the business is financially sound through budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring oversight.
- Capitalises on synergies from a day-to-day management and operations perspective.
General:
- Proactively assesses, develops, implements, and exploits strategic opportunities to positively impact Group shareholder value.
- Creates or owns additional revenue streams.
Residences Leadership:
- Responsible for residential projects from development through ongoing operations.
- Works closely with joint venture partners, project owners/developers, and Group senior management to evaluate and execute business opportunities.
- Interfaces with Group functional and operational units providing relationship, contract, and financial expertise.
- Focuses on key business attributes (ROIC, earnings impact, budget and cost constraints, analysis of strategic alternatives) while liaising with stakeholder departments.
- Responsible for departmental budgeting, tracking, monitoring, invoicing, and forecasting fee income.
- Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor to meet operational requirements.
MOXH Leadership:
- Provides strategic oversight and guidance to the MOXH business unit leader.
- Ensures alignment between Residences and MOXH strategies with the overarching Group strategy.
- Collaborates with the business leader to develop and implement effective business strategies that drive growth and innovation within the MOXH unit.
- Shares responsibility for delivery of the ambitious five-year growth plan.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or other commercial real estate-focused concentration. Advanced education (e.g. MBA) a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant senior management experience in luxury, real estate, and/or residential communities, private equity, law or finance with a focus on hospitality and/or other commercial or luxury residential real estate.
- Special Skills: Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written, and non-verbal. Strong organisational skills and experience in developing procedures and programs. Negotiating skills, quality-driven with a passion for excellence. Must possess excellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Approachable, open-minded, and fair. Team player. Brand ambassador. Flexible work hours to meet the demands of a global role. High energy. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, inter alia).
