Your role as an MBA Strategy Intern will be within the International Vehicle Payments (IVP) Team at Corpay, based in Victoria, London. This internship is an opportunity for a high-potential MBA candidate to work on strategic projects that support Corpay’s growth across international markets. You will help evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities, assess market dynamics, build business cases, and support strategic initiatives that shape the future direction of the IVP business.

You will contribute to high-impact work spanning market analysis, commercial strategy, partnerships, M&A opportunities, performance improvement, and strategic planning. This role is ideal for an MBA student with strong analytical capability, commercial curiosity, structured problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate data and market insight into clear strategic recommendations.

You will report directly to the Global Strategy Director and work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (IVP), and senior business leaders across the UK, Europe and beyond.

What We Need:

We are looking for a motivated and intellectually curious MBA candidate who is excited by strategy, growth, business model innovation, and international markets. You will bring a consulting-style approach to problem solving, strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, and the ability to work across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced commercial environment. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity, forming hypotheses, conducting research, building financial and strategic analysis, and presenting findings clearly to senior stakeholders. To thrive in this role, you will be a self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively. You will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a desire to take ownership of meaningful projects from analysis through to recommendation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Supporting the development of strategic plans for the IVP business, including market sizing, opportunity assessment, growth prioritisation, and business case development.
    • Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, risks, and growth opportunities.
    • Building business models, scenarios, and quantitative analyses to support strategic decision-making.
    • Helping translate strategic objectives into clear recommendations, initiatives, and action plans.
    • Supporting preparation of materials for senior leadership discussions, strategic reviews, and planning sessions.
  • Growth Initiatives and Performance Analysis:
    • Supporting the evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives across products, markets, customer segments, and channels.
    • Analysing business performance data to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and commercial improvement.
    • Helping define key performance indicators and tracking mechanisms for strategic initiatives.
    • Preparing concise updates, dashboards, and presentations to communicate project progress and findings.
  • Market, Partnerships and M&A:
    • Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, market developments, and emerging customer needs across relevant IVP markets.
    • Supporting identification and assessment of potential partnership, market entry, and M&A opportunities.
    • Conducting competitor benchmarking and developing insights to inform commercial and strategic decisions.
    • Assisting with opportunity screening, strategic rationale development, and early-stage due diligence analysis.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Working with colleagues across strategy, commercial, product, finance, operations, and regional teams to gather input and align on project objectives.
    • Supporting cross-functional workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions.
    • Helping business teams translate strategic priorities into practical plans and measurable actions.
    • Contributing fresh thinking, structured analysis, and an external perspective to strategic discussions.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Preparing clear, compelling presentations and written materials for senior stakeholders.
    • Communicating analysis, insights, and recommendations in a concise and commercially relevant way.
    • Building relationships across the IVP business and contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Currently pursuing an MBA from a leading business school.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to interpret data, build models, and develop business cases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to structure ambiguous business questions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to learning.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, commercial strategy, fintech, payments, mobility, fleet, energy, or B2B services.
  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, customer segmentation, financial modelling, or M&A/partnership assessments.
  • Interest in payments, mobility, fleet services, B2B technology, or commercial transformation.
