Corpay is currently looking to hire a Privacy Manager within our International Vehicle Payments line of business. This position is within our European Legal team and is located in Swindon or London (Victoria), UK. You will be providing enterprise-wide leadership for Corpay’s privacy, data governance, and data management framework. The position is responsible for designing, operationalising, and continuously enhancing a set of scalable and risk-based privacy programs that supports Corpay’s global growth, innovation agenda, and regulatory obligations. You will ensure that privacy and data governance are embedded in Corpay’s operations, delivering compliant and pragmatic outcomes across jurisdictions. You will report directly to the General Counsel IVP and collaborate closely with senior legal, compliance, technology, security, and data leaders across Corpay’s lines of business—and with external advisors.

As a Privacy Manager, you will be expected to work in a hybrid office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include performing and/or managing the following:

  • Coordinate the design, implementation of privacy and data governance programs aligned to Corpay’s operating model.
  • Establish effective information sharing and coordination of data standards across business lines and regions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on privacy, data governance, and emerging regulatory risk.
  • Monitor, interpret, and assess the impact of global data protection laws and regulatory developments, translating them into actionable guidance for the business.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and evolution of privacy policies, notices, standards, and internal frameworks.
  • Define and oversee data retention, minimisation, and deletion strategies aligned with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.

Privacy Advisory & Enablement

  • Provide strategic and day‑to‑day privacy legal advice on new products, services, technologies, and transformation initiatives.
  • Advise regional privacy SMEs on lawful bases for processing, cross‑border data transfers, complex privacy risk issues, and regulatory expectations.
  • Champion privacy‑by‑design and privacy‑by‑default principles across product development and operational change initiatives.

Data Subject Rights (DSR) Governance

  • Establish and oversee a consistent approach to DSR management, while allowing for appropriate regional flexibility, including ensuring continual process improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate record‑keeping, audit readiness, and defensibility of DSR responses.
  • Oversee and provide legal review of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), ensuring consistency, quality, and risk‑based decision‑making.
  • Define and continuously enhance Corpay’s vendor and third‑party privacy risk framework, ensuring alignment with procurement, security, and enterprise risk processes.
  • Support and advise on the negotiation of Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and other data protection provisions.
  • Provide oversight of third‑party privacy risks, including emerging regulatory expectations and enforcement trends.

Training, Awareness & Culture

  • Partner with regional privacy SMEs to design and support effective, role‑based privacy training aligned with local and global requirements.

Incident Response & Regulatory Engagement

  • Provide senior support to privacy SMEs in the assessment, investigation, documentation, and notification of personal data incidents.
  • Advise on regulatory engagement and breach notification decision‑making.
  • Oversee post‑incident root cause analysis and support implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Data Privacy professional or UK‑qualified lawyer with approximately 10+ years PQE, including significant experience in privacy, data protection, and/or data governance.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other global privacy regimes.
  • IAPP certification(s) such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels in a complex, global organisation.
  • Strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
