Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst within our Alpha Group division. This position falls under our Cross Borders line of business and can be based in London, Swindon, or Walsall.

In this role, you will be a seasoned cybersecurity professional responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats and incidents in a fast-paced environment. You will handle complex investigations, support escalation workflows, lead high-severity incidents, and contribute to the continued maturity of the Security Operations Center.

You will operate in a cross-functional environment, working across a wide range of technologies to support and secure business operations. The role requires strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to act as the human-in-the-loop when using AI-enabled security tools, ensuring sound judgement and effective security decision-making. The position reports to the Manager or Director of Security Operations.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Serving as a subject matter expert for a team of analysts supporting 24/7/365 security monitoring and response operations.
  • Monitoring, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, including participation in off-hours and on-call rotations.
  • Acting as an escalation point for day-to-day SOC operations and leading high-severity or complex security incidents.
  • Analysing, triaging, and resolving complex investigations using data from multiple security technologies and information sources.
  • Correlating security alerts and events, executing advanced queries, and applying behavioural and anomaly-detection techniques.
  • Leveraging commercial and open-source technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to automate repetitive tasks, enhance threat detection, and improve response efficiency.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate SOC processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assessing programme strengths and weaknesses and recommending AI solutions to enhance team capabilities, skills, and knowledge.
  • Staying current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, AI developments, and adversary use of AI that may impact services.
  • Refining security playbooks, policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry best practices and evolving AI capabilities.
  • Recommending adjustments to security tools and processes to reduce false positives and improve detection quality.
  • Examining and correlating log data across endpoints, databases, applications, identity systems, networks, mobile platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Working with SOAR platforms, SIEM technologies, MCP solutions, threat intelligence sources, endpoints, applications, network devices, and cloud environments.
  • Mentoring junior analysts and supporting the development of the wider SOC team's technical capabilities.
  • Working cross-functionally with relevant technical and business teams to support and secure business operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly within SOC, incident response, and information technology environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of emerging cybersecurity threats, including adversary use of AI.
  • Experience with SOAR, SIEM, threat intelligence platforms, identity systems, sandboxes, vulnerability management, and EDR/XDR tools.
  • Broad understanding of endpoints, applications, network devices, databases, cloud environments, and security monitoring technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response principles.
  • Experience analysing and correlating large volumes of security events and log data.
  • Ability to perform advanced security investigations and make effective decisions during complex or high-severity incidents.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use AI-enabled tools effectively while applying appropriate human judgement to security decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated integrity, curiosity, adaptability, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • One or more of the following certifications would be preferred: GCIH, GCED, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate, or CISSP.
