Overview

As a Junior Banking Analyst in the Virtual Banking and Payment Schemes function, you will support day-to-day virtual banking operations and data-driven analysis across cross-border corridors. You’ll help map banking processes, maintain scheme access and settlement timing, and prepare materials for internal stakeholders. You’ll collaborate with Treasury, Compliance, Product, and Technology to improve service delivery and governance. This role offers hands-on training and exposure to a global payments platform, with a focus on scalable, compliant virtual banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily virtual banking operations and transaction monitoring
  • Maintain master mappings of virtual accounts and banking providers across corridors and currencies
  • Oversee access to global payment schemes (SWIFT, SEPA, SEPA Instant, FedNow, Same Day ACH, NPP, PIX, UPI, etc.)
  • Analyze banking data to identify trends, discrepancies and operational issues
  • Assist onboarding and ongoing maintenance of virtual banking products/services
  • Coordinate with Treasury, Operations, Compliance, Product and Technology to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Monitor processes for accuracy and timeliness in line with procedures
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external stakeholders
  • Escalate risks and gaps to relevant teams promptly
  • Support process-improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory-compliant records

Key requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in banking/analytical roles
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Good understanding of banking, payments, virtual accounts, or financial operations (advantageous)
  • Comfortable working with data, reports, and operational processes
  • Strong communication and ability to engage multiple internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive problem-solving approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
