Corpay is currently looking to hire an Engineering Manager – Client Experience & APIs within our Alpha division. This position falls under our Cross Border line of business and is in London. In this role, you will oversee teams delivering client‑facing applications and supporting APIs. You will report directly to the VP of CB Engineering and regularly collaborate with Product, Platform, and Infrastructure teams.
This position operates in a hybrid work environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
- Leading and coaching cross‑functional engineering teams focused on delivering scalable client‑facing applications and API solutions.
- Partnering with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to understand requirements, define priorities, and deliver high‑quality software aligned to business outcomes.
- Owning the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle for client experience and API platforms, from design and development through testing, deployment, and in‑life support.
- Driving architectural discussions and design decisions to ensure performance, resilience, scalability, and security across systems.
- Overseeing code quality through design reviews, pull request reviews, and enforcement of engineering best practices.
- Guiding teams in building clean, testable, and maintainable code, with a focus on modular design, reusability, and long‑term platform health.
- Supporting the continuous enhancement and modernization of the client‑facing platform using current and emerging technologies.
- Collaborating with peer engineering leaders to resolve complex technical challenges and align solutions across platforms.
- Championing agile delivery practices, ensuring iterative releases that continuously improve the client experience.
- Promoting strong documentation practices to support platform maintainability, onboarding, and knowledge sharing.
- Identifying risks and dependencies early and proactively addressing delivery, performance, or scalability concerns.
- Supporting hiring, onboarding, and career development to build and retain a high‑performing engineering team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology‑focused discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership or people management role.
- Proven experience delivering client‑facing applications and API‑driven platforms in a modern engineering environment.
- Strong passion for technology, innovation, and building high‑quality customer experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within agile, cross‑functional teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to balance technical excellence and business needs.
- Solid understanding of browser troubleshooting, debugging practices, and performance optimization (preferred).
- Experience with ReactJS and C# .NET Core (preferred but not required).
- Working knowledge of modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS, RESTful APIs, and WebSockets (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience driving engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction.
