Overview
In this role, you will lead enterprise-scale modernization by shaping and integrating the Enterprise Data Foundation with the GFN modernization program. You act as a bridge between target architecture and delivery, aligning roadmaps, governance, and operational readiness across a portfolio of initiatives. You will drive a coordinated technology-change agenda while maintaining core platform stability. This is an influential, transformational role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead integration across technology workstreams within the GFN Modernisation and Data Foundations portfolio
- Coordinate the Enterprise Data Foundation with the GFN modernization roadmap as one transformation agenda
- Translate target architecture into integrated roadmaps, transition states, and delivery plans
- Drive alignment across data migration, legacy-platform replacement, integration, acquired-platform consolidation, and business-logic modernization
- Oversee extraction of business logic from GFN stored procedures into reusable, service-based capabilities
- Coordinate integration of multiple GFN instances and acquired platforms via canonical data models, governed interfaces, APIs, and data contracts
- Support delivery of Enterprise Data Foundation capabilities: change-data capture, data ingestion, storage, governance, MDM, semantic and serving layers, APIs, and governed access
- Align architecture delivery across initiatives including VFM, Pulse, AI, reporting, fleet management, customer modernization, and agreement modernization
- Manage and escalate technology dependencies, architecture decisions, design exceptions, risks, and change controls
- Provide input into modernization governance, IT performance reporting, financial forecasting, benefits tracking, risk management, stage-gate decisions, and executive updates
- Ensure technology readiness for cutover, operational acceptance, transition into run, and long-term support
- Provide matrix leadership to architecture integration, data, and technology delivery leads across the portfolio
Key requirements
- Significant experience leading complex enterprise technology transformation or modernization programs
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture (data ingestion, governance, canonical data models, MDM, APIs, data contracts, semantic layers, governed data access)
- Experience modernizing legacy environments while maintaining business continuity
- Ability to build and manage integrated roadmaps across multiple teams, platforms, and dependencies
- Experience across data migration, platform integration, legacy replacement, and service-based modernization
- Knowledge of architecture governance, risk management, design controls, transition planning, and operational readiness
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide clear direction in a matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills to translate strategy into actionable plans
