The Role

The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and work closely with the General Counsel and Legal Team. You will provide administrative and legal support across a broad range of activities, including contract management, legal research, corporate governance and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to the General Counsel and Legal department
  • Assist with the preparation, formatting and proofreading of commercial contracts and legal documents
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Sales, Operations and Compliance teams to gather information and support legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with legal projects as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems and legal documentation.
  • Support contract lifecycle management processes, including contract tracking and signature coordination.
  • Assist with privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR-related activities.
  • Support the maintenance of corporate governance records and company documentation.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the Legal Team and management.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous administration experience within a legal environment is desirable but not essential
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Professional, reliable and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine interest in learning and developing within an in-house legal department.
