About the Role
We are looking for an
IT Developer to become a key technical leader within our growing team. In this role you will have ownership of one of our most business-critical systems my Corona
, our customer portaland play a central role in developing the next generation of internal applications, automation solutions, and AI-enabled technologies.
This position combines two exciting workstreams
Customer-Facing Development
You will take ownership of our customer portal ecosystem, driving enhancements, maintaining integrations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Innovation & Transformation
You will help build new applications and business capabilities across the Microsoft technology stack, while exploring and implementing emerging technologies including Microsoft Power
Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services and Foundry.
Working closely with key members of the team you will help shape not only what we build, but how we build it.
This role offers genuine ownership, technical influence, and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on a technology function that's actively modernising and embracing AI-enabled solutions.
Key responsibilities include
- Develop, Enhance & Maintain Critical Platforms
- Take primary ownership of the my Corona customer portal.
- Design, build and maintain high-quality applications using C# and . NET.
- Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Enhance and support integrations with core business systems including Dynamics 365 and SQL Server environments.
- Deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
- Drive Technical Excellence
- Translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
- Design systems with scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability in mind.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews.
- Champion modern development best practices and coding standards.
- Develop comprehensive automated testing solutions to ensure software quality.
- Support Modernisation & Innovation
- Contribute to the transformation of legacy applications and integrations.
- Help shape Corona's future technology landscape.
- Build internal tools using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
- Explore AI-enabled solutions that improve business processes and customer experiences.
- Bring innovative ideas and recommendations to the wider IT team.
- Collaborate & Influence
- Work closely with analysts, data specialists, project teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise across projects.
- Act as a senior technical voice within the development function.
- Support architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
- Business-As-Usual Support
- Provide second-line application support alongside our Managed Service Provider.
- Investigate and resolve complex application and integration issues.
- Monitor portal, API, and data pipeline performance.
- Support ongoing operational stability and continuous improvement.
Skills and experience required
- 5+ years' professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing with C# and . NET Framework.
- Proven experience building RESTful APIs and service-based architectures using ASP. NET.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimisation, schema design and stored procedures.
- Experience developing and deploying solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Comfortable working across both modern and legacy application estates.
- Strong Git Hub and source control experience, including pull requests and code reviews.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments using Jira and Confluence.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
- Ability to take ownership from concept through to delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative mindset and passion for building great software.

- Entity Framework Core.
- CI/CD pipelines and Azure Dev Ops.
- Oracle database environments.
