About the Role

The Junior Operations Analyst position is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone analytical, curious, and eager to grow their career in the energy industry. You’ll be supporting core operational processes, analysing data, resolving queries, and helping the department operate efficiently. As you develop, you’ll enhance your Excel capabilities and gain exposure to tools such as Power BI and SQL, setting a strong foundation for your career in analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and resolve data issues and anomalies
  • Maintain spreadsheets to a high level of accuracy
  • Support Analysts with internal projects
  • Resolve queries from customers and internal colleagues, liaising with third-party providers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party providers
  • Ensure seamless transfers for new and departing customers
  • Ensure customers receive timely first invoices through accurate data setup
  • Maximise opportunities for meter read procurement
  • Identify and deliver improvements to business processes
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the business
  • Report weekly performance updates to senior team members
  • Support activities ensuring compliance with energy industry performance targets
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management

Skills & Experience

  • Strong academic background
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Experience analysing large data sets and reporting
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
  • Energy industry experience (desirable but not essential)
