At Meadowbrook Care Home, we’re looking for caring, compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated night team.

To be considered for this role, you'll ideally hold a Care Certificate or a recognised qualification in Health and Social Care.

If you're an experienced carer who doesn't yet hold a Care Certificate but is committed to achieving one, we may be able to support you by offering an initial period on day shifts to complete your induction and Care Certificate before moving into a permanent night position.

As a Night Healthcare Assistant, you'll help create a safe, comfortable and reassuring environment where residents feel respected, valued and supported throughout the night.

You'll deliver high-quality, person-centred care, build meaningful relationships and work as part of a close-knit team committed to providing exceptional care.

For experienced Healthcare Assistants who are ready to progress, we offer a clear development pathway to become an Enhanced Healthcare Assistant.

With the support of our Team Leads and Care Coordinators, you'll complete training and competency assessments in the safe administration of medication and basic clinical observations.

Once signed off as competent, you'll take on additional responsibilities, support medication rounds, and help mentor Healthcare Assistants within the Night team.

The role of a Night Health Care Assistant is to support our residents in living full, happy, and healthy lives - even while the world sleeps.

You'll provide person-centred care, reassurance, and companionship throughout the night, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after.

From assisting with bedtime routines to responding to overnight needs, you'll play a vital role in maintaining their dignity, wellbeing, and peace of mind, helping them rest well and wake up ready to enjoy the day ahead.

  • Support residents with personal care, maintaining their privacy, dignity, and respect at all times.
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities that enhance their quality of life.

  • Conduct regular wellbeing and health checks in accordance with individual care plans.

  • Care Certificate (we will support you to achieve on 'days' before moving to nightshift).

  • 19:00 - 07:00
