We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Night Healthcare Assistant (Enhanced) to join our dedicated team, providing high‑quality person‑centred care throughout the night. This is a key enhanced role, where you will support the Night Coordinator with medication administration, act as a mentor to other HCAs, and help guide new starters by leading by example and promoting safe care practices. You'll ensure our residents feel safe, comfortable, and reassured at all times, delivering care with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Your Role
You'll provide compassionate care, emotional reassurance, and practical support, while also taking on additional responsibilities such as medication administration and supporting the team in the absence of the Night Coordinator.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting residents with personal care, including continence care, and repositioning
- Carrying out regular welfare checks and night observations
- Responding promptly to call bells with care and compassion
- Providing comfort, reassurance, and companionship during the night
- Administering medication safely (following training and competency sign‑off)
- Monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
- Maintaining accurate digital records using care systems
- Supporting the smooth running of the shift and guiding colleagues when needed; ensuring a calm, safe, and secure environment at all times
- Following care plans to deliver truly person‑centred care
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced HCA (minimum Care Certificate required)
- A kind, calm, and empathetic nature
- Experience in care (ideally with dementia or complex needs)
- Confidence to take on responsibility and support others on shift
- Medication training (or willingness to complete)
- Basic IT skills for digital record‑keeping
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
Pay Scale
- £15.00 per hour
- £18.75 per hour (weekends)
- £30.00 per hour (bank holidays)
