Addison Park Care Home in Callington, Cornwall is looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our dedicated domestic team. You'll help create a warm and comfortable environment for our residents by maintaining the home to the highest standards of cleanliness, all while bringing a caring, person-centred approach to your work. Job Purpose
The role of the Housekeeper is essential to helping our residents live full, happy, and healthy lives. You'll take pride in delivering a spotless and hygienic home environment that contributes to their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, sinks, and countertops
- Making beds and changing linens
- Using cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, and cloths effectively
- Keeping bathrooms stocked with toiletries and fresh towels
- Cleaning mirrors, glass surfaces, and communal areas
- Tidying and refreshing residents' rooms
- Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies as required
- Reporting repairs or maintenance issues promptly
- Assisting in laundry duties and ensuring cleanliness throughout the home
- Interacting positively with residents - joining conversations, offering a smile, and contributing to their sense of home
Requirements
- Naturally kind, caring, and compassionate
- Highly motivated with great attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Comfortable communicating with residents and colleagues
- Experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred, but not essential
- Willingness to work in both cleaning and laundry areas of the home

Payrate
- £12.80 per hour
- £16.00 per hour (Weekends)
- £25.60 per hour (Bank Holidays)
