As a Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services.

Working as part of a small team of two Coordinators, you will oversee day-to-day care operations, support staff, and help maintain the highest standards of care.

You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for both residents and staff, while developing your leadership skills for future career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on medication management, ensuring safe administration, compliance, and best practice at all times
  • Carry out regular audits to monitor care quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Assess and sign off staff competencies, supporting training and ensuring high standards of care delivery
  • Supervise and support a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing person-centred care plans
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to care staff
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and incidents
  • Maintain accurate and compliant care records Work collaboratively with colleagues, management, and external professionals
  • Promote dignity, independence, and choice for all residents
  • Lead by example and support the onboarding and development of new staff
  • Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a care role, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity within a care home environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Medication administration experience.
  • A good understanding of care planning, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care, with a focus on enhancing residents' well-being.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
  • A willingness to participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and training.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a Senior Care Supervisor role.
  • First Aid and Fire Warden
  • Moving and Handling Trainer
