Are you an organised and enthusiastic administrator with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Cornwallis Academy is seeking a proactive and professional SEND Admin Assistant to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis.
About the Role
Working closely with the SENCO and the wider SEND team, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure high-quality provision for students with SEND. The role involves maintaining accurate records, handling communications with stakeholders, managing referrals, supporting the review of EHCPs, and coordinating SEND resources and plans.
Part‑time schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm, 38 weeks per year (term time only).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update SEND information systems including SIMS and CPOMS
- Assist with correspondence and manage the SEND inbox
- Support the creation and review of personalised support plans and EHCP reviews
- Coordinate with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ensure records are accurate, secure, and up-to-date
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and provision letters
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office; experience with SIMS is desirable
- Knowledge of SEND frameworks or a willingness to learn
- A team player with initiative and a proactive attitude
