Blue Dot Games is seeking an experienced technical artist to join our art team working on the title ’83. We are a small, friendly and ambitious team with big plans. Could you be part of these plans?

A successful applicant for this role will have experience in optimisation of photoreal assets and environments for use in large scale multiplayer levels. The candidate will have a deep technical knowledge and demonstrable experience of the following aspects of UE5:

  • Lumen
  • Nanite
  • VSM
  • World-space partitions
  • PCG
  • HLoDs
  • Material optimisation

The candidate will be deeply involved in the setting of rec spec and min spec for the title, so familiarity with all levels of GPU and with statistical analysis are preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with some knowledge of VFX – Houdini, Niagara etc. and/or some knowledge of basic (non-lumen) lighting workflows.

The team will be remote, so effective communication skills in an all-remote setting are required.
