Our client, an established Bindery firm based near Padstow are seeking a permanent electrical engineer to join their team.
What we offer:
- £35,000-£45,000 per annum
- Monday - Friday 40H per week
- Shift pattern will be arranged.

The role:
- Carry out planned repair and maintenance of printing and bookbinding machinery, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
- Conduct daily repair, maintenance, and inspection of ancillary site and building equipment.
- Support installation and project work on equipment within the printing and bookbinding trade, as well as other site equipment.
- Work independently and proactively to maintain high standards of maintenance and health & safety.
- Assist in supervising and training apprentices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance operations.
- Undertake any reasonable duties associated with the role.
- Perform regular testing (PAT, fixed wiring inspections, RCD testing) to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Recommend and implement improvements or modifications to electrical systems and machinery.
Qualifications and relevant experience:
- Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of production machinery.
- City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving approach.
- Experience with industry standard systems and processes (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 27001).
