Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Adult Social Worker to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality services across East Cornwall. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults, alongside the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of adults in need of care and support
- Complete safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory duties
- Develop and review care and support plans
- Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners
- Conduct regular face‑to‑face visits across the service area
- Maintain accurate and timely case records
Essential Skills & Experience
- In‑depth knowledge of all aspects of Adult Social Work
- Proven experience completing safeguarding enquiries
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Recognised relevant professional social work qualification with HCPC registration
Special Requirements
- Access to a car and ability to travel
- Willingness to undertake weekly face‑to‑face visits across East Cornwall (Liskeard to the River Tamar)
