The predicted salary is between 50000 - 55000 £ per year.

Location: Liskeard and surrounding areas

Pay Rate: £25.38 per hour (paid weekly every Friday via PAYE)

Hours: Full-time – 37 hours per week

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:15 (Condensed hours may be considered, subject to service needs)

Contract Start Date: 14 April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Adult Social Worker to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality services across East Cornwall. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults, alongside the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of adults in need of care and support
  • Complete safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory duties
  • Develop and review care and support plans
  • Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners
  • Conduct regular face‑to‑face visits across the service area
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records

Essential Skills & Experience

  • In‑depth knowledge of all aspects of Adult Social Work
  • Proven experience completing safeguarding enquiries
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Recognised relevant professional social work qualification with HCPC registration

Special Requirements

  • Access to a car and ability to travel
  • Willingness to undertake weekly face‑to‑face visits across East Cornwall (Liskeard to the River Tamar)
