We are recruiting a Hygiene Operative to join an award-winning, family-run food production business based in Lostwithiel. Reporting to the Hygiene Team Leader, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the factory, offices, and staff facilities. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean factory production areas using foaming units and hoses
  • Prepare equipment for cleaning and reassemble after cleaning
  • Clean factory facilities, offices, meeting rooms, and toilets
  • Carry out external silo and environmental cleaning
  • Maintain staff rest areas, vending machine areas, smoking areas, and food storage areas
  • Clean risk-based changing rooms
  • Restock cleaning supplies and consumables
  • Report faults with hygiene equipment to the Hygiene Team Leader
  • Identify any additional cleaning or maintenance requirements
  • Follow strict health & safety and food hygiene procedures
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
  • Complete additional cleaning tasks as required

About You

  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Good attention to detail
  • Takes pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to your own transport

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Industrial cleaning experience
  • Food production or manufacturing experience
  • COSHH awareness

Hours & Pay

  • £13.24 per hour
  • Weekly pay
  • Holiday pay accrued
  • Flexible shifts available, including:
    • 7:00am – 5:00pm
    • 8:00am – 6:00pm
    • 10:00am – 2:30pm
  • Other shifts may be available
