Hotel Manager - Hospitality Couple
Cornwall | Live-In | February 2027 Start | Up to £50,000 Combined + Bonus
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced hospitality management couple to run an established 11-bedroom boutique hotel in a stunning Cornish coastal location.
This is a hands-on management position for a couple with proven experience in hotel, guest house, boutique hotel, luxury chalet or similar hospitality operations.
The successful couple will join the property in February 2027 to prepare for the season, which runs from March through to the end of October.
The Opportunity
Working alongside a small team of four, the management couple will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel and the delivery of an exceptional guest experience.
The responsibilities will be shared between the couple:
Front of House & Hotel Operations
- Guest hosting, reception and check-ins/check-outs
- Breakfast room and bar operation
- Reservations and booking management
- Guest communications and online enquiries
- Housekeeping supervision and quality control
- Staff management, rotas and coordination
- Supplier management and stock control
- Financial administration and reporting
- Property presentation and operational standards
Kitchen & Food Service
- Preparing and serving fresh daily breakfasts
- Preparing light bar snacks
- Kitchen organisation and food hygiene
- Ordering and managing kitchen supplies
- Kitchen stock control
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting front of house when required
Both partners will be expected to work hands-on, support each other and lead by example.
Working Hours
Morning: 6.30am - 12.00pm
Breakfast, check-outs and housekeeping
Afternoon/Evening: 3.00pm - 10.00pm
Bar, check-ins and guest hosting
The couple will alternate evenings off.
About You
We are looking for a couple who can demonstrate:
- Extensive experience managing a hotel, guest house, boutique property, large chalet or similar
- Strong guest service and hospitality skills
- Experience working together as a couple in a hands-on environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail
- A warm, professional and confident manner with guests
- Strong practical and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
Previous hotel or equivalent hospitality management experience is essential. Applications without relevant experience will not be considered.
