Cornwall Pride is a registered charity dedicated to creating a hate-free Cornwall where everyone is free to be who they are. We deliver Pride events across the Duchy, alongside our Safer Spaces initiative, inclusion training, and wellbeing programmes. At our heart, we bring people together to celebrate diversity, champion equality, and support LGBTQ+ people and marginalised communities.

Job Details

  • Organisation: Cornwall Pride CIO
  • Status: 15 hours a week, Employed (contracted until July 2028)
  • Location: Cornwall (remote, with travel across the Duchy)
  • Closing Date: Monday 1st September

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive event strategies that align with the charity’s goals.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events, from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with relevant partners to ensure event deliverables are met.
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors, venues, local councils, and partners.
  • Ensure all external providers deliver high-quality services within budget and on time.
  • Oversee the logistics and coordination of event services, including staging, sound, security, first aid, and décor.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing and HR to ensure alignment and support for events.
  • Evaluate external providers’ performance, providing feedback and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure all events are safe.
  • Consider accessibility as a key requirement of all events.
  • Analyse event success and feedback to inform future strategies.

Qualifications

  • Track record of delivering medium/large scale events in Cornwall.
  • Experience working with local traders, production companies and medical and security providers.
  • Knowledge of the local LGBTQ+ performer landscape.
  • Relationships with local town councils.
  • Understanding of event logistics.
