Key Responsibilities
- Provide low‑intensity psychological interventions to patients experiencing mild to moderate common mental health difficulties using 1:1 face‑to‑face sessions, telephone, video consultation and group courses.
- Assess patients, deliver evidence‑based interventions and support service users to make lasting changes in managing their mental health.
- Hold discussions with step 3 and/or step 4 clinicians to ensure step‑ups, safe onward referrals and that patient dignity and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
- Engage in community outreach, promoting the service to other services, educational settings and career events.
- Work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and commit to equal opportunities.
- Schedule clinical contacts between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm on weekdays and participate in evening clinics from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm as required.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Completed PWP training from an accredited Low Intensity course.
- Experience delivering stepped‑care Low Intensity Psychological Interventions to patients with mild to moderate common mental health difficulties.
- Current PWP registration.
- Position open only to current NHS staff working in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. Eligible organisations are:
- Cornwall Foundation Trust
- Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
- Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board
Supervision & Development
CPD opportunities are provided, and the post-holder will receive Clinical Case Management Supervision, Clinical Skills Supervision, Reflective Practice Supervision and regular Line Management.
