Healthcare Assistant – St Julias Hospice
We’re looking for a Healthcare Assistant to provide hands-on, person-centred care and emotional support to patients and families when it matters most.
Hospice experience is a real advantage, but it’s not essential — bring your compassion, curiosity, and willingness to learn, and support will be provided.
About the role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing holistic, person-centred care, ensuring every patient is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.
Your role will include:
- Supporting with personal care and daily living needs
- Helping patients feel comfortable, safe and cared for
- Providing emotional support to patients and their loved ones
- Working closely with nurses and the wider team to deliver the highest quality care
- Creating a calm, compassionate and reassuring environment

Working pattern
This role involves a rotational shift pattern, including:
- Nights
- Bank holidays
