CORNWALL HOSPICE CARE

To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a high standard of specialist palliative care to patients and their families. Under the supervision of the Ward Manager/Senior Nursing Team/Nurse in Charge of the shift, the Post Holder is involved with the daily activities of patient care. To maintain agreed standards of care and to take an active part in clinical audits in order to improve nursing practice. Must have appropriate NVQ level 3 qualifications., Were looking for a Healthcare Assistant to provide handson, personcentred care and emotional support to patients and families when it matters most., As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing holistic, person-centred care, ensuring every patient is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting with personal care and daily living needs
  • Helping patients feel comfortable, safe and cared for
  • Providing emotional support to patients and their loved ones
  • Working closely with nurses and the wider team to deliver the highest quality care
  • Creating a calm, compassionate and reassuring environment

Hospice experience is a real advantage, but its not essential bring your compassion, curiosity, and willingness to learn, and support will be provided.
