We are recruiting multiple Operational SENDCos to join our secondary schools across Mid Cornwall as part of Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT). This is a pivotal role at the heart of our inclusion strategy—working directly with students, staff and families to remove barriers to learning and ensure every learner thrives.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify students with SEND and those facing barriers to learning, ensuring timely and effective support
  • Lead the development, implementation and review of Student Support Plans
  • Drive high-quality interventions and evaluate their impact over time
  • Use data to monitor progress, inform provision and support strategic decision-making
  • Lead and contribute to review meetings, annual reviews and multi-agency working
  • Support High Needs Funding applications and track provision effectively
  • Work closely with pastoral, teaching and support teams to secure strong classroom practice
  • Contribute to access arrangements and support key transition points
  • Line manage and develop teaching assistants, ensuring high standards across provision
  • Build strong relationships with families, acting as a key point of contact and advocate
