The Service & Team:

The Town Regeneration & Investment Programme (TRIP) Programme Lead will be a key member of a small team that supports the development and delivery of a diverse range of projects within the Economy & Skills Service and which deliver against the aims and objectives of the Cornwall Good Growth Plan, Cornwall Local Plan and the Council’s Place Shaping and Regeneration policies.

Job Description

The Town Regeneration & Investment Programme (TRIP) Programme Lead will be a key member of a small team that supports the development and delivery of a diverse range of projects within the Economy & Skills Service and which deliver against the aims and objectives of the Cornwall Good Growth Plan, Cornwall Local Plan and the Council’s Place Shaping and Regeneration policies.

Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of a new ÂŁ2.7m programme of investment funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. TRIP will support significant place-based interventions to boost growth, productivity, and regeneration across Cornwall through projects directly delivered by Cornwall Council and a delegated grant fund open to local businesses and organizations.

The Role

Responsibilities include:

  1. Promoting TRIP opportunities across Cornwall’s towns, utilizing existing networks and developing new contacts.
  2. Developing and maintaining applicant guidance documentation and FAQs.
  3. Providing guidance on technical issues such as Subsidy Control, Procurement, Net Zero, Social Value.
  4. Working with the Grant Management Team to manage applications and approval processes.
  5. Offering project delivery and claiming guidance and support.
  6. Leading the evaluation process to measure impact.
  7. Organizing engagement events and mentoring.
  8. Networking and collaborating with local businesses and stakeholders.
  9. Managing the TRIP Project Officer.

Working Pattern

Full-time, 37 hours/week, with flexible options; attendance at meetings and office days required for team collaboration.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of place and town-related issues for community outcomes.
  • Successful project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategy development experience.
  • Strong partnership-building and support skills across public, private, and voluntary sectors.
  • Analytical skills, data interpretation, financial and risk management, and effective communication of complex issues.

This is a fixed-term position until 31 March 2026. Enthusiasm and motivation are essential to maximize funding impact.
