The Service & Team:

Are you a School Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to develop and progress your career. We are really excited to have investment in School Nursing in Cornwall.

We are looking for a School Nurse to come and join our 0-19 Locality Teams. We are integrated with our Early Help and Social Care colleagues and share an integrated electronic record which supports communication and co-ordination. We are aiming for each Secondary School to have a named School Nurse who will work alongside a mix skilled health team to cover surrounding Primary Schools.

Working in Cornwall has the added advantage also of having some beautiful rural areas and beaches which provide plenty of leisure opportunities to create a great work life balance. There are exciting opportunities to be part of partnership working groups and multi-disciplinary practice discussions. You will contribute, progress and lead innovative practice, enhancing effective partnership working with education, GPs, Children’s Services, Public Health and other key agencies.

There is currently a part time or full time post in the West area of Cornwall. However if you are interested in working in another area of Cornwall please contact us as posts may become available in the future.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

Delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to provide evidence-based family centred public health services to achieve the service vision and meeting the needs of communities, families and children and young people.
