About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Industry Placement & Work Experience Coordinator to help deliver outstanding learner experiences through the coordination of high-quality industry placements, work experience opportunities and work-related activities. Working closely with curriculum teams, employers and external partners, you will source meaningful placement opportunities, promote the importance of employability skills, and support learners to develop the competencies needed for progression into further education, training and employment. The role includes carrying out pre-placement and health and safety checks, monitoring learner progress and outcomes, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to a collaborative approach to employer engagement across the college group.
Skills & experience
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage effectively with learners, staff, employers and external partners. You will be passionate about supporting learner development and employability, with a strong commitment to inclusion, equality, diversity and safeguarding. A good understanding of the value of work experience and industry placements is essential, alongside the ability to work flexibly across college sites and manage a varied workload. Applicants should hold Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent), possess a full clean driving licence, and be willing to undertake Health and Safety training if not already qualified. Experience of working in or with the construction sector would be advantageous.
