About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our English and Maths team based at either our St Austell or Camborne campus, providing essential administrative support to the curriculum area and ensuring all learners, staff, visitors, and customers receive exceptional service.
In this varied role, you will work closely with the Campus Lead to manage course administration, respond to enquiries, maintain accurate records, and support student finance processes. You will offer initial advice and help guide learners through application procedures. Key responsibilities include coordinating interviews, supporting recruitment events (including evenings and weekends), providing cover at campus reception as required, and contributing to the achievement of college targets for attendance, retention, achievement, and progression.
You will also develop and maintain a course‑specific knowledgebase to provide timely and effective guidance to learners and customers, ensuring smooth communication and a positive experience for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential administrative support to the English and Maths curriculum area.
- Manage course administration and respond to enquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and support student finance processes.
- Offer initial advice and guide learners through application procedures.
- Coordinate interviews and support recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.
- Provide cover at campus reception as required.
- Contribute to college targets for attendance, retention, achievement, and progression.
- Develop and maintain a course‑specific knowledgebase to support learners and customers.
Skills & Experience
- Self‑motivated and customer‑focused with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with learners, staff, parents, and external partners.
- Commitment to the College’s values, equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
- Problem‑solving skills to support learners effectively.
- Experience in a similar customer liaison or administrative role desirable.
- Good knowledge of college courses and learner support.
- Level 2 English qualification.
- Level 3 qualification in advice, guidance, or customer service (or willingness to work towards one).
