About the Role
Based at our St Austell campus, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to integrate themselves into a highly successful teaching team. Alongside delivering outstanding education, the successful applicant will take on the role of Study Programme Manager. They will be expected to contribute to a positive experience for all learners, with particular focus on supporting students with SEND and behavioural difficulties. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the programme as a pathway lead, ensuring learners have a positive, engaging experience that enables them to reach their full potential. Working collaboratively with the Head of SEND, you will be accountable for the entire learner journey, from marketing and course promotion to initial advice and guidance. You will take sole responsibility for learner progression, careers advice, achievement tracking, destination recording, programme design, and maintaining consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
Experience and/or knowledge working successfully with students who have diverse learning needs and/or behavioural difficulties is essential to this role.
Skills & Experience
- Applicants must hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 5 teaching qualification (such as a Cert Ed, PGCE, or DET). For the right candidate, this qualification can be undertaken through the college (within three years of appointment).
- A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in both English and Mathematics is required.
- Candidates must possess an understanding and/or knowledge of working with students with SEND and/or behavioural difficulties.
- We are seeking individuals who are passionate about motivating, inspiring, coaching, and mentoring learners whilst delivering high-quality teaching and learning throughout.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm (4.30pm on a Friday).
