Location: Bicton College

Salary: £27,846.00 per annum

Terms & Conditions: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours/52 weeks), Teaching Contract

About the Role

If you are an exceptional Outdoors Lecturer, you should consider a move to an exciting forward-thinking college, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, to become a key member of staff within our successful Outdoors department in Devon.

Based at Bicton College, we are looking for an experienced individual to join the team offering a level 3 course in Outdoor Adventure Education. We are in a unique position with the facilities on site and located near Woodbury Common, the River Exe, River Dart and Dartmoor.

Skills and Experience

Applicants must also hold a teaching qualification e.g. AET, DET, PGCE, or Certificate of Education (or willingness to achieve within three years of appointment – provided and funded by the College). Must have or work towards level 2 or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths and have a thorough understanding and deep knowledge of the outdoor sector gained through occupational experience, with the ability to deliver a range of land and water based adventurous activities.

Applicants must be prepared to motivate, inspire, coach and mentor learners into careers in the outdoor sector through excellent teaching & learning.

Applicants must have a passion for the outdoors and a real interest in facilitating the development of our learners and courses.

Applicants must have experience and/or qualifications in outdoor adventure to include the ability to deliver a range of land and water based outdoor adventurous activities.

Hours of work

This role is on a full-time basis; 37 hours per week.
