A leading global events production company is seeking an experienced Lighting Technical Specialist to join its UK lighting team. This is a varied role acting as a senior technician, supporting the design, specification and operation of lighting across a wide range of live events and productions. The successful candidate will work closely with the UK Head of Lighting and play a key role both on-site and in planning stages of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specify, design and operate lighting for live events and productions.
  • Operate at least one major lighting console platform (Avolites, ETC Eos or MA).
  • Lead and supervise technicians during event setup, delivery and breakdown.
  • Support lighting design using CAD software such as Vectorworks, Capture, WYSIWYG or AutoCAD.
  • Carry out basic fixture maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Work collaboratively with production managers, designers and venue stakeholders.
  • Contribute to training and development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience within a lighting or live production environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of DMX, basic networking and production power.
  • Ability to read and interpret lighting plots and production documentation.
  • Experience working at height and with industry-standard rigging practices.
  • Proven experience leading teams on live event or production sites.
  • Relevant industry training or certification is advantageous.
