Our client is an established international engineering contractor delivering large-scale electrical infrastructure projects across Europe. They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.
Working closely with Contract Managers and project delivery teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered commercially, on budget, and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project costs, valuations, cashflow forecasting, and financial reporting
- Prepare and maintain commercial project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Administer change orders, variations, and Early Warning Notices
- Support tender reviews and commercial strategy development
- Monitor project performance, identify commercial risks, and implement mitigation measures
- Manage client communications, contract compliance, and final account negotiations
- Produce accurate weekly and monthly commercial reports
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- 5 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within electrical construction projects (not residential)
- Experience managing valuations, variations, cost control, and commercial reporting
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Ability to travel occasionally across the UK and Europe
- Experience within electrical, MEP, infrastructure, data centre, power, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects is highly desirable
