As we scale our technology and infrastructure, we are seeking a diligent and experienced Network Administrator to manage, secure, and optimise our internal and cloud network environments. This critical role supports the stability and integrity of Cornspring’s Microsoft‑based infrastructure, ensuring seamless, secure connectivity across systems, users, and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration, maintenance and performance optimisation of Cornspring’s internal networks, domain environment, and cloud‑based services.
  • Ensure the company’s network and system infrastructure operates reliably, efficiently and securely.
  • Collaborate with technology, security and operations teams to support business continuity and employee productivity.

Network & Infrastructure Administration

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure resources including virtual networks, firewalls, VPNs and hybrid connectivity.
  • Administer and support NT domains, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Oversee network hardware and connectivity for offices and remote workers, ensuring consistent performance and availability.
  • Monitor network activity, bandwidth and performance using established tools and best practices.
  • Manage user provisioning, authentication and access across systems.

Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Management

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
  • Manage device enrolment, configuration and compliance through Intune and Azure AD.
  • Ensure reliable and secure email, collaboration and file‑sharing capabilities for all users.
  • Support user onboarding/offboarding processes and maintain accurate access records.

Security & Maintenance

  • Apply security updates, software patches and configuration changes in line with company security policies.
  • Support endpoint protection and device compliance under the company’s security policies.
  • Conduct regular network and system health checks, backups and disaster recovery tests.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Information Security on implementing zero‑trust and identity management principles where relevant.

Support & Operations

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support for network, server and connectivity issues.
  • Document network configurations, standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Work closely with vendors and service providers to ensure uptime and efficient issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in network and system administration in a Microsoft‑centric environment.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Azure, NT domains, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience managing hybrid or cloud‑based infrastructures with distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with ITIL‑based service management practices and monitoring tools.
  • Have the right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship can be provided.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Azure networking, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP.
  • Experience managing Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, Intune and device compliance policies.
  • Good understanding of network fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, routing, switching).
  • Awareness of common security best practices such as least privilege, MFA enforcement and secure configuration.
