We are currently looking for freelance HTML/CSS front end developers who can create very high quality code. There may be opportunities to turn this into a full time position or regular guaranteed contract work.
The skills we require are:
- Excellent HTML/CSS coding ability (ability to handcode fully accessible XHTML with valid CSS2 and CSS3)
- Good knowledge of English
Any of the following would be preferable but not essential:
- Ability to use graphic packages such as Adobe Fireworks
- An understanding of PHP / MySQL development (able to edit existing code)
- Knowledge of Magento / Joomla / ecommerce applications
- Good knowledge of other languages (especially Arabic, Russian, German, Spanish)
Job Location: We have offices in East Kent, Cornwall (Truro), Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. But location is not important for this role.
Salary is dependent on experience. Higher salaries for those able to turn more complex designs into accessible XHTML/CSS code quickly and accurately.
After the initial training period, the work is primarily home based; staff in the South East meet at least weekly in Kent. Staff located in Cornwall, or other areas of the South West, or Southern England meet less often in Kent or other locations such as Swindon or Reading.
