Cornish Metals plc is recruiting a Production Mine Captain to provide frontline leadership for underground mining operations at the South Crofty Mine in Cornwall. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day underground activities, leading shift supervisors and mining crews, and ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with production plans. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the redevelopment of one of the world’s highest-grade tin mines as it moves towards production.
We are looking for an experienced underground mining professional with a strong track record of leading hard rock mining operations and building high-performing teams. You will have excellent operational, technical and leadership skills, a thorough understanding of underground mining methods and UK mining safety standards, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Experience in narrow vein mining and a passion for developing people and fostering a strong safety culture would be highly advantageous.
