Cornish Lime are a UK manufacturer of traditional and innovative lime-based building materials. We are looking for a high-calibre Head of Operations to scale our manufacturing capacity, drive greater efficiency, and champion a rigorous safety culture across our production facility.

Your Objective

  • Champion Safety & Quality: Cultivate a continued focus on maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Drive Lean Culture: Continue to promote our 5S methodology and develop further methods of automation and continued drive for optimum efficiency.
  • Lead & Develop: Manage the production, engineering, and warehouse teams, coaching supervisors to manage their teams effectively.
  • Optimise Scheduling: Maximise throughput whilst taking a proactive approach to support scaling production.

Your Background & Skills

  • Production Leadership: You will have a strong track record managing multi-disciplinary manufacturing teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Previous experience of maintaining strong financial awareness with a history of controlling manufacturing costs.
  • Scale and Sector Alignment: Experience managing a medium to large scale plant would be a prerequisite.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics: You will have direct experience overseeing material control, warehousing, and the factory floor.
  • Regulatory Record: You will possess experience dealing directly with regulatory bodies (e.g., HSE, ISO etc) and managing or assisting formal audits. H&S training or certification.
  • ERP/MRP Systems: An understanding of manufacturing software would be advantageous.
