You will champion best practice in HR and strive to embed a positive, engaging and high-performing workplace culture through aligning all our practices and procedures with our purpose and values.

As a highly organised person you will be confident in dealing with stakeholders across the business, enjoy a challenge and like using your initiative. You’ll be confident in challenging the norm.

As People Partner your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the locations and areas that you support.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the People strategy by ensuring a pro‑active and efficient provision of professional generalist HR advice.
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers to facilitate the early resolution of employee relations cases, ensuring they are effectively managed.
  • Work in partnership with Operations to support the creation of workforce plans, using the analytics tools within the systems to improve recruitment and retention.
  • Work in partnership with Area Managers to build the management capability in their teams in order to advance the delivery of the area’s people plans.
  • Generate reporting and analyse data to drive improvements in key performance indicators within your areas.
  • Review and create new HR policies in line with best practice and legislation.
  • Drive engagement in your area by communicating and promoting HR initiatives.
  • Lead on People projects that are aligned to business goals, managing the process and involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Work in partnership with managers to plan recruitment for their areas, ensuring vacancies are filled quickly and effectively whilst following best practice.
  • Partner with L&D to ensure we have the right level and number of development programmes to support succession planning.

What we are looking for:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or above
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role in a fast‑paced organisation
  • Experience in using Fourth Hospitality (desirable)
  • A passion for Cornish Bakery purpose and values
